It you want to book one of those Mash Poa VIP seats, here is the information you are looking for. Earlier, I wrote a post one how to book a seat on Mash Poa. If you are a veteran and have been doing this, then you can proceed.
However if you want to learn how to book a seat then you can read this guide here.
Mash Poa is one of those bus companies in Kenya that offer bus services between major cities in Kenya. So how are Mash Poa VIP seats like?
I took a Mash Poa bus to just bring you firsthand experience on one of those seats.
What you need to know about Mash Poa VIP seats.
As I said earlier , I took a bus with the intent of bringing you firsthand experience.
My journey begun in Nairobi and ended in Mombasa.
Here is what I found out.
There are located at the front section of the bus
This image shows the VIP seats in yellow. As you can see, they are located at the front of the bus.
To me this isn’t bad, however I would wish that they are located in the middle section or perhaps have a barrier between them and the wind screen.
If you are traveling at night, you may have difficult time finding sleep due to light beams from oncoming vehicles. Moreover there is more wind and cold at that region.
They are ‘comfortable’
I have had the opportunity to book a business class seat. Comparing this with the VIP seat, I saw no major difference besides having more leg room and space between seats.
The other major difference is the fabrics from with the seats are build.
However they are no big difference with business class seats. There is also a phone charging port, however everybody else is enjoying this service.
You can have a look at the diagram below.
They dearer
As you would expect, the seats are costlier. But they are not as costlier as you would expect. Whereas a normal seat cost Ksh. 1200.00, a Mash Poa Via Seat cost only Ksh. 1600.00 ( About 16 dollars) to Mombasa.
If you traveling to far destinations, then it will not hurt to add a few coins to enjoy the comfort.
Conclusion
A standard Mash Poa bus has only 4 VIP seats. If you are looking to book one, then you will need to book earlier enough to avoid disappointments.
After I making myself comfortable in one of those seats, I reached after 11 hours. I wish I would have taken the Madaraka Express, but that is a story for another day.
If you looking to book a bus, you can also consider booking Easy Coach,Modern Coast, Tahmeed, Crown Bus and Dreamline Bus.
