Here we learn how to pre-order on Jumia. In the past few days, I have written articles that require that you pre-order items on Jumia.
The Huawei Y6 2019, Infinix Hot 7 and the Infinix Hot 7 Pro phones were recently launched in Kenya. Usually before they are officially launched and available in Kenya, Jumia may ask that anyone interested in such items, make a pre-order.
And most of you have been asking how to pre-order on Jumia. It is with this understanding that I decided to write a simple yet complete guide on this topic.

Steps on how to pre-order on Jumia
Pre-ordering is quite simple on Jumia. Just follow these simple steps.
Make sure you have an account with Jumia
It is very likely that you have an account with Jumia. It makes sense that you cannot make any purchase unless you have the said account.
In case you do not have an account, you can read this guide here to get started.
Identify the product to pre-order
Again, it could be that you already have the product you want to buy in mind. The only difference is that instead of seeing the ‘Buy Now’ button, you see the ‘Pre-order’ button’.
Hit the pre-order button.
If you do that, you will be taken to a checkout page. Here you will be required to pay the full amount of the item. Please do so.
You can easily pay via Mpesa. Once your payment has been made and confirmed, you have successfully placed the order. The delivery will be made at your address.
Placing a pre-order on Jumia is no different from the normal purchasing of items. There are however two major differences;
- One, you have to make the full payment unlike the normal purchases where you can pay on delivery. You have to pay in advance.
- Two, the items are usually not within the country, and have to be imported. This makes delivery time longer than usual.
With this, you can make your first pre-order. If you get any difficulties, contact me for help. I am always ready to assist.
