Speaking on the introduction of the new channel, StarTimes regional marketing director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga noted that the launch of TNT on StarTimes demonstrates the brand’s unremitting commitment to deliver premium content to Kenyan subscribers, making top family entertainment accessible to more households across its subscriber base. “Having TNT on board for our subscribers intensifies our progressive efforts to bolster our content offering for the whole family entertainment as we seek to grow the value of our bouquet offering to subscribers across the country,” said Mr. Nsubuga. As part of the launch, TNT has an exciting line-up of never-before-seen titles with the premiere of its latest TNT Original Movie, Human Capital; a Fan Month block dedicated to the best titles of Denzel Washington (Remember the Titans, Déjà vu, The Hurricane and Fallen); and the reoccurring Film Fight stunt, where in September, an original movie will be faced against one of its sequels, every Friday evening, in a double feature, bringing up sagas such as The Transporter, National Treasure, Karate Kid, and Free Willy.  Zee Entertainment has announced the launch of Zee TV, Zee One, and Zee Tamizh on the pay television platform StarTimes media. The channels will showcase a wide selection of family-oriented programming such as award-winning series, lifestyle, food, reality, and highly acclaimed movies, which are dubbed in English on Zee One with Zee TV and Zee Tamizh offering English subtitles.

With a strong worldwide presence boasting over 40 channels, Zee has been in many homes and won the hearts of over 1.3 billion viewers, across 173 countries. Zee first ventured into Africa 25 years ago as the brand’s first international territory launching Zee TV. Since then, the brand has expanded on the continent with many more channels being made available which includes the flagship channel Zee World.

Zee TV

Zee TV is a 24-hour Indian general entertainment channel in the Hindi language with English subtitles. Over the years, Zee TV has become a market leader with popular shows such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Dance India Dance, and Kundali Bhagya.

Zee TV will be available on channel 510 on terrestrial and 557 on the StarTimes satellite platform.

Zee One

This is a brand new 24-hour general entertainment channel offering programs dubbed in English. Subscribers can look forward to a compelling slate of spectacular series, gripping dramas, movies, and cookery shows such as Snack Attack, Guddan, Lies of the heart, and Reach for the Stars.

Zee One will be available on channel 509 terrestrial and 553 on the StarTimes satellite platform.

Zee Tamizh

Zee Tamizh is a general entertainment South Indian channel. Its programming entails reality, series, cookery, talk shows, musicals, movies, and special events. Flagship shows include Dance Jodi Dance, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors, Survivor Tamil, Tamizha Tamizha, and Rockstar.

Zee Tamizh will be available on channel 558 StarTimes terrestrial platform.
