You Can Now Pre-Order Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 on Jumia

You can now Pre-Order Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 exclusively on Jumia. This is after the phone was launched in Kenya.  The phone was launched early this morning (26th June 2019) for the Kenyan market. 

This is Huawei’s first phone we are seeing in Kenya to come with a retractable selfie camera.The Good news is that you can now exclusively pre-order the phone on Jumia Kenya.

The phone comes with a super design a near bezel-less design. You get a 6.59-inch Full HD Ultra Full View display with a resolution of 2340 by 1080. Moreover, it’s brightness and adequate color reproduction that looks to offer enough screen real estate to consume multimedia content or play mobile games.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 Specifications

In case you missed this, here is how the phone looks and feels. The plastic finish looks good and comes in various colors including Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Emerald Green and Coral Red. The back is curved to give a good grip for easy one-handed use, something we saw in the P30 series.

Optics-wise, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 rocks a pop-up camera mechanism that houses the 16MP f/2.0 lens. The retractable camera, according to Huawei has been tested thoroughly and can sustain up to 100,000 pop-ups.

At the back of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is a triple camera setup that includes a 16MP (f/1.8) main lens, an 8MP(f/2.4) wide-angle shooter with 120 degrees FOV(Field of View) and 2MP(f/2.4) depth sensor units.

The cameras are AI-powered to shoot stunning selfies, upgraded scene recognition to up to 22 categories and 500 scenes for more vivid shots. Huawei uses 6P lenses that gather more light to enhance the resolution and contrast of photos taken and thus they’ll come out brighter and clearer.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 shoots brilliant 3D portraits from both the rear and front cameras with studio-quality lighting effects.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with Kirin 710 processor. What’s more, you get 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage plus the ability to expand it via a microSD up to 512GB.

What of the battery? It packs a 4000mAh battery plus feature smart power saving options to increase its efficiency and give users extended battery life – It also sports a type-C USB port. A rear fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock are also present for enhanced security.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with Android Pie 9.0 and EMUI 9.0 skin with intelligent functions to help you be more efficient in your everyday tasks.

Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will start selling exclusively on Jumia for Ksh 24,999 and you can pre-order it until the 4th of July to get a gift hamper that includes headphones.
