Safaricom to Temporarily Close Select Shops in Nairobi and 12 Other Towns for Internal Event
Safaricom, Kenya’s leading telecommunications company, has announced that it will temporarily close select retail outlets on Thursday, October 9, 2025. This closure is necessary to accommodate an internal staff event and will impact shops across several major towns in Kenya.

The temporary closure will affect Safaricom shops in the following areas:

- Mombasa
- Malindi
- Diani
- Machakos
- Kitui
- Thika
- Nyeri
- Nanyuki

Change in Shop Hours
Safaricom also stated that shops in the Mount Kenya, Coast, Eastern, and North Eastern regions will start to close earlier, from 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. This adjustment is meant to support preparations for the internal staff function.
