HMD Global has announced the availability of Nokia C2 in Kenya Today. The Android Go edition is the successor of the Nokia C1 we introduced here a while ago when it was introduced in the country in December of 2019.
Speaking during the announcement, Gopher Ogembo, “The senior Business Manager East Africa, HMD Global said, one of our main objectives is to bring great smartphone experiences to as many fans as possible across three different price points. We know people are looking for a reliable way to upgrade to a G smartphone experience”.
Specifications
The Nokia C2 comes with a large 5.7” HD+ screen and a selfie camera with a flash and HDR photography that takes your selfies to another level. Moreover, its huge battery means that it can take a full day without recharging.
Then there is the YouTube Go that allows fans to watch YouTube videos offline and have the video organized using the Gallery Go, which also can edit and share.
Other features include 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded to 64GB via microSD storage card. A 1.4GHZ unisoc processor that runs on Android 9 Pie Go edition, powers the phone.
The main camera is a 5MP camera with a flashlight, capable of taking decent images. The battery is a 2800mAh that is removable. This is a 4G phone which has a 3.5mm jack and an FM Radio.
The Nokia C2 also comes with a Google Assistant button, which is designed to work with limited storage and low power that allows you to watch videos offline.

The phone is already available in two colors, Cyan, and black which are a favorite with many users. You also get a free phone case if you buy the phone. The phone is already available at major stores countrywide, including Safaricom and Jumia.
