Jiji, Kenya’s leading online marketplace, has once again been recognized as the Best E-Commerce Platform at the prestigious Digitally Fit Awards, held at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. This achievement marks multiple wins for Jiji, reinforcing its leadership in driving Kenya’s growing digital economy.
Maureen Naliaka, PR Manager at Jiji Kenya, highlighted the significance of winning the award multiple times, stating it reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to simplifying online commerce, supporting entrepreneurs, and empowering users with valuable tools for business growth.
Kenya’s e-commerce market is expanding rapidly. According to the International Trade Administration, revenue in this sector is expected to grow by 16.4% annually by 2025, driven by increasing internet penetration, widespread mobile payments, and rising consumer trust in online shopping. The Communications Authority of Kenya reports that mobile money subscriptions have reached 45.4 million users (an 86.6% penetration rate) in 2025, underscoring the seamless adoption of digital payments.
Jiji continues to innovate by introducing initiatives like the forthcoming Jiji Academy – a free online course designed to help aspiring sellers grow their businesses. Additionally, Jiji is set to launch Jiji Delivery, a seller-focused logistics solution that will enhance the convenience of online trade.
Since its launch in 2019, Jiji has become a household name, connecting millions of users countrywide and setting a benchmark for affordable, reliable, and user-friendly e-commerce.
