The phone will sell for Ksh.79,999.00 and given that there are two variants, we are not sure which will be selling in the Kenyan market.
If you have not read about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE specifications, then for knowledge, there are two variants. With what has been going around for some time, we are likely to see a phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The phone is unlikely to support 5G, which is not yet available in the country.
There is also a second model that features 8GB RAM and 256GB and which supports 5G, but we are unlikely to see this brought in.
Speaking to the media, Charles Kimari, Head of Integrated Mobile Department at Samsung Electronics East Africa said, “We are constantly speaking to our fans and taking feedback, and we heard what they loved the most about our Galaxy S20 series, what features they used most often and what they would want to see in a new smartphone. The S20 FE is an extension of the Galaxy S20 family and is the start of a new way to bring meaningful innovation to even more people to let them do the things they love with the best of Galaxy.”
The Fan Edition, which is what FE means, is a cheaper alternative to the famous Galaxy S20 series. Though is touted as a cheaper phone, at Ksh. 79,999.00 is a bit high for the Kenyan market.
Samsung says that the Galaxy S20 FE is a result of the effects COVID-19 on the world market. The phone was produced by cutting costs and thereby producing a phone that is cheaper but of high quality.
The phone comes with a large battery, more color options, water-resistant, and good cameras a fact that Samsung says is a result of feedback collected from customers.
The Launching of the Galaxy S20 SE adds another good phone to the Kenya market as more manufactures seek to have a piece of the market.
